About Us
Refuge International is a non profit organization founded in 2022 by a group of friends who own local businesses in Gilbert, SC. The call to serve and love others who have experienced catastrophic events is the driving force behind our organizations primary purpose.
Our group began mission work at the onset of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 after realizing the great needs of helping others. Our mission has continued to evolve over the years, and now we set up a mobile command post to provide volunteers and locals impacted in devastations with hot meals, hot showers, laundry service, recovery, clean-up and construction rebuild. In addition to natural disasters, we also work in community development around the world in countries like India, constructing bore wells and checking dams to bring fresh water to remote villages and focusing on significantly improving everyday life while meeting the physical needs of people in remote places.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the help of some of the most dedicated, compassionate and resourceful volunteers and partners working alongside us. 100% of all monetary donations contributed are used for all needs such as food, supplies, and materials. All financial donations are tax deductible. Information is provided to donate to help keep these efforts going.
